I think its ridiculous for the corporate to file a complaint. People all over the world produce different versions of the Hanuman Chalisa. Nobody can own the Chalisa and everyone has a right to listen to what they enjoy.

This is extreme arrogance…
How you guys can stop a Bhajan Being played asserting copyright claims…
It’s clear that you guys are a threat to our traditions which can cause you a lot much of difficulties…

How can anyone claim ownership rights on bhajans, scripts and songs having universal appeal and coverage since many centuries nearly all over the world.

This looks like another frivolous use of the DMCA law in the US to force a takedown of valid content – Mystic Tree probably have case to sue for damages so worth looking into.

It’s ironic when we have Honourable PM Modi promoting India and Hinduism worldwide that we still have local giants like RP-Sanjiv Goenka group attempting to further only their own financial interests at the expense of Hindu culture.
I’ve personally heard the song and found it to be a refreshing rendition of Hanuman Chalisa that will appeal to younger generation. It’s def nothing like any version I’ve heard before so I too would be curious to know what copyright is being infringed here. Perhaps Saregama music label signed Tulsidas in 16th Century and didn’t tell anyone.
